Friday, June 8th: No Boring e-Learning!

presented by Allen Interactions

Program Details:

In spite of the considerable resources invested in its creation, most e-Learning is unbearably boring. It doesn’t have to be that way. Part of the problem is that the restrictive process most often used for designing e-Learning fails to take advantage of the unique aspects of interactivity to create engaging learning experiences.

Lori Storts and Scott Colehour of Allen Interactions present:

  • what are some components that create true instructional interactivity?
  • how gaming principles can easily be applied to curriculum design
  • essential characteristics of irresistible e-Learning

Debra Arbit, President and CEO of Bridgeworks will also join to highlight an irresistible course on applying the generational lens to your customer service and sale initiatives.

Attend the “Liberate Your Inner Designer” workshop on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 1-4pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Park Place. (1500 Park Place Blvd., Minneapolis, Minnesota 55416—across the freeway from the Met).

When you communicate with graphics, your training is more effective. But you may feel stuck or lack confidence when it comes to graphic design skills. If you feel your graphics are inferior to what they could be, then you’ll want to attend this workshop to liberate your inner designer.

You’ll learn how designers use visual language to bring ideas to life. We’ll cover creativity, layout, imagery, color, fonts, and alternatives to bullet points. We’ll also do a slide makeover, so send in sample slides that you’d like to see redone.

The workshop will answer these questions:

  • How can I come up with more creative ideas?
  • Where should I place my images and text?
  • What font should I use?
  • How can I get rid of all these bullet points?
  • How can I make my graphics look professional?

No artistic talent is required to benefit from this presentation. You’ll leave with tips, ideas, and resources you can start using right away in slides, eLearning courses, job-aids and handouts.
